Job Summary

SandColour is seeking an experienced CAD Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare

  detailed shop drawings

  for wooden furniture such as tables, chairs, cabinets, and custom-made articles
• Create precise technical drawings including dimensions, joinery details, sections, and material specifications
• Translate design concepts, sketches, and samples into manufacturing-ready drawings
• Coordinate with factory, QC, and merchandising teams to align drawings with production requirements
• Modify and update drawings based on internal or client feedback
• Maintain drawing documentation and version control
• Support sampling and new product development

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma / ITI / Degree in CAD, Mechanical Drafting, Interior Design, or a related field

• 2–5 years of hands-on experience

  in furniture shop drawings (mandatory)
• Strong proficiency in

  AutoCAD (2D)

  ; knowledge of 3D tools is an added advantage
• Good understanding of

  wood furniture construction, joinery, hardware, and finishes

• Experience with export furniture standards (USA / UK preferred)

• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight timelines

Preferred (Nice to Have)

• Experience with CNC-ready drawings
• Familiarity with furniture factory production workflows
• Knowledge of hardwood furniture (Acacia, Mango, etc.)
