Complex Head - Green PVC

Purpose/Objective

The Green PVC Complex Head will lead the operational and maintenance activities for the Green PVC project at Mundra, Gujarat, ensuring seamless pre-commissioning, commissioning, and stabilization of the facility. This role is pivotal in optimizing operations, maximizing efficiency, and driving value engineering for a petrochemical complex with a capacity of 1 MMT per annum in its initial phase. The position supports Adani Petchem’s strategic goal of establishing a world-class petrochemical cluster, contributing to India’s ambition of becoming a global petrochemical hub.

Key Responsibilities of Role

- Lead pre-commissioning, commissioning, and stabilization activities for the Green PVC project, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards. - Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize plant efficiency and achieve production targets. - Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues during startup and ongoing operations to ensure uninterrupted production. - Drive value engineering initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. - Manage a workforce of 1000+ regular employees and 2000+ contract workers, ensuring high levels of productivity and safety. - Establish and maintain robust maintenance protocols to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align operational activities with strategic business objectives. - Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement in operations. - Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards, fostering a culture of safety across the site. - Provide strategic leadership and mentorship to the operations and maintenance teams, building a high-performing organization.

Technical Competencies

Qualifications and Experience

Required Qualifications & Experience - Minimum 25 years of experience in refineries, petrochemical manufacturing operations, or related industries. - Proven expertise in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and stabilization of large-scale petrochemical or refinery complexes. - Hands-on experience in troubleshooting and startup of complex petrochemical or refinery facilities. Educational Background - Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field. - Advanced certifications or training in petrochemical operations and maintenance are preferred. Years & Type of Experience - 25+ years of experience in large-scale EPC project execution and operational management within the petrochemical or refinery sector. - Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale workforce operations, including regular and contract employees.
