Role Summary
This role serves as the principal representative and custodian of the GPAR member ecosystem on a daily basis, effectively embodying the brand's presence to the external community. The incumbent will be responsible for managing discourse, ensuring adherence to community guidelines, facilitating member onboarding, and fostering a highly engaged environment within the proprietary chat/application and across all relevant social media channels. Initially, this moderator is tasked with establishing collaborative relationships with micro-moderators / influencers. In the long term, this position is expected to develop into a managerial role, overseeing multiple moderators both within the organization and the extensive network of contracted personnel.
Recruitment Model
Candidates sought should be young professionals — university students or recent graduates — who possess a strong enthusiasm for golf. Specifically, individuals involved in the Indian national amateur circuit who are interested in pursuing a career within the golf sector are encouraged to apply. Recruitment efforts should also target smaller, state-level circuits.
Key Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:1. Managing and moderating in-app groups (starting with WhatsApp), topic threads, discussions, and community engagement across all designated channels. 2. Welcoming and facilitating the onboarding of new members, providing guidance on the utilization of community features, and rigorously enforcing community guidelines. 3. Onboarding and conducting periodic training sessions for micro-moderators on brand updates. 4. The incumbent will monitor all conversations to ensure consistent tone, factual accuracy, and alignment with brand standards, and execute official brand communications, as provided by the content and marketing teams, by posting to the appropriate channels. 5. A key function involves coordinating and promoting digital events (e.g., webinars, live chats, Q&As), and systematically escalating complex member issues to the Community Head or Customer Support as required.6. Brief and co-ordinate with micro-moderators for photo and video content dispatches from offline events, tournaments, holidays, and gatherings.
Additional Duties: Relay critical community insights and feedback to the product development and marketing teams; identify highly active members and cultivate potential micro-leaders or local brand ambassadors; and maintain a comprehensive database of top contributors and engagement analytics.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of demonstrated experience in managing online communities, social media platforms, or membership ecosystems. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, characterized by an approachable yet highly professional demeanor, are required. Proficiency with community management tools such as WhatsApp, Circle, Mighty Networks, Discord, or Slack, or the aptitude to rapidly acquire such skills, is necessary. The role demands a strong capacity for empathy, effective conflict resolution, and a robust service-oriented approach. A genuine interest in golf, travel, or lifestyle communities is strongly preferred. Note: Applications from highly motivated recent graduates (freshers) may be considered.
