Job Description

Last date of application: 15th Sep 2025Vital Strategies India Services Private Limited is focused on strengthening and revitalizing public health systems through designing and supporting scalable solutions to leading causes of death, disease, and injury. In addition to our topical areas of focus – noncommunicable disease control, environmental health, and injury prevention, we also prioritize work that aims to strengthen the fundamental, foundational dimensions of public health practice that enable governments to tackle and respond to any public health challenge.

About The Assignment

We’re looking for a skilled and thoughtful

Communication Consultant

who can partner directly with the

Managing Director’s Office

to drive high-impact content development across the organization. This is a dynamic role for someone who’s not just a strong writer, but also a strategic communicator—able to gather, refine, and shape messaging that clearly conveys our work to diverse audiences.You’ll play a central role in aligning how we talk about our work, partnerships, and impact—working across teams and engaging with both internal and external stakeholders to create compelling content that reflects our values and mission.

Duties And Responsibilities

Lead Content Development Across Teams: Collaborate with internal departments to source, draft, and refine content for presentations, reports, partner communication, and other strategic documents and website.
Work Closely with the MD’s Office: Support the Managing Director and leadership team in creating high-level narratives, talking points, concept notes, and strategic communications.
Strengthen Messaging and Storytelling: Review existing content and sharpen the language, tone, and structure to better reflect the organization’s priorities and value proposition.
Coordinate with Stakeholders: Liaise with both internal teams and external partners to gather insights, align messaging, and ensure consistency across communication outputs.
Track and Translate Sector Trends: Stay up to date with trends in public health, policy, and development sectors in India, and incorporate relevant insights into communication strategies.

Qualifications And Experience

Current undergraduate or graduate student (or recent graduate) in communications, journalism, public health, public policy, development studies, or a related field
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, especially in strategic content creation
Strong storytelling and presentation abilities, with attention to tone, clarity, and structure
Demonstrated interest in social impact, public health, or development-sector work
Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently to meet deadlines
Familiarity with tools like PowerPoint, Canva, Google Workspace, or other content tools is a plus

Additional Information

This is a short-term consulting assignment for 2–3 months
This is an in-person role based out of our Saket, New Delhi office
Expected commitment: 4 days a week
Immediate availability preferred
