Commis Chef

Job Description: As a Commis Chef specializing in Indian snacks and fast food at Gopals 56 in South East Delhi, your role is crucial in maintaining the quality and authenticity of our traditional and contemporary dishes. Your passion for street-style Indian cuisine and ability to handle a dynamic kitchen environment will be key in ensuring customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: - Prepare and cook a variety of Indian snacks and fast food items such as Momos, Chowmein, Chilli Potato, Samosas, Kachoris, Chole Kulche, Cone Chaat, etc. - Create mojitos and other basic cold beverages - Handle cutting, chopping, and mise-en-place tasks according to daily requirements - Adhere to recipes, portion control, and plating standards - Maintain impeccable hygiene and food safety practices consistently - Assist senior chefs during peak hours and in bulk preparations - Monitor inventory levels and report shortages promptly - Assist in cleaning kitchen equipment and maintaining workstation cleanliness Qualifications & Requirements: - Minimum 2 years of experience in Indian snacks or fast food preparation (preferred) - Familiarity with North Indian street food & Indo-Chinese fast food - Proficient in following hygiene SOPs and kitchen protocols - Strong chopping, cutting, and food presentation skills - Punctual, disciplined, and collaborative team player - Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays Note: The job type is Full-time, On-site with a competitive salary based on experience, along with food and benefits.
