As the Commercial Head at a reputed integrated steel and power manufacturer in Raigarh, Chhattisgarh, you will play a crucial role in leading and overseeing the commercial function of the plant. Your responsibilities will cover procurement, contracts, costing, logistics, inventory management, and statutory compliance to drive cost efficiency and vendor excellence aligned with business objectives. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and implement procurement strategies for raw materials, consumables, spares, and CAPEX. - Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers and contractors for cost, quality, and delivery performance. - Establish vendor performance parameters and build long-term partnerships. - Ensure compliance with procurement budgets, timelines, and quality standards. - Draft, review, and manage commercial and operational contracts. - Ensure legal and statutory compliance for all commercial agreements. - Track and analyze cost structures to identify efficiency opportunities. - Maintain product costing and price trend data for raw materials and key inputs. - Oversee material receipt, storage, and issuance in line with production requirements. - Optimize inventory to balance operational continuity and working capital. - Manage inbound and outbound logistics for raw materials and finished goods. - Ensure accurate accounting and compliance for GST, Customs, Excise, and other taxes. - Provide commercial insights and support for contracts and agreements. - Support budgeting, CAPEX planning, and commercial due diligence for new projects. **Qualifications & Experience:** - Education: MBA (Finance/Operations) or CA/ICWA - Experience: 20+ years in commercial leadership roles - Industry Background: Iron & Steel / Cement / Mining / Heavy Engineering - Regional Exposure: Experience in Eastern India (Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Jharkhand) preferred **Additional Details of the Company:** The organization is a fast-growing integrated steel and power manufacturer in India, operating state-of-the-art facilities in Eastern India.
