Role Overview: As a Commercial Controller, you will hold a strategic position within the Finance function and act as a valuable business partner to the Sales team. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance commercial excellence by implementing strong financial controls, conducting insightful performance analysis, and proactively managing risks. Your success in this role will rely on your collaborative mindset, exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, and your ability to influence cross-functional teams. By fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, you will drive the effective implementation of commercial policies and processes, especially in areas such as credit risk management, schemes management, performance reviews, and channel finance activities. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in spearheading new initiatives, promoting automation, and enhancing operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the achievement of key commercial KPIs (DSO, DSOD, Debtors Provision, Leakage) through data-driven decision-making. - Conduct comprehensive profitability reviews across various regions, branches, and channels, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions in collaboration with the Sales team. - Establish and institutionalize a customer profitability review framework. - Support the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process for regional and branch-level planning. - Develop, implement, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and commercial policies regularly. - Monitor audit findings and ensure timely corrective measures are implemented. - Ensure a balanced credit management process that aligns controls with growth objectives. - Drive growth through channel and consumer finance initiatives. - Enhance collection processes and foster accountability across teams. - Oversee the effective implementation of Schemes & Discounts to drive growth and profitability. - Standardize policies and procedures related to scheme operations, including timely settlements, exception management, and tax compliance. - Review the effectiveness of discounts/schemes to achieve growth objectives and establish a monitoring system for Spends vs. budget. - Contribute to designing sales incentive structures and customer scheme policies. - Lead the commercial setup for new sales formats, models, and channels, including digital and transformation initiatives. - Drive automation, process improvements, and change management to enhance commercial agility and efficiency. Qualifications Required: - CA/MBA with 10 to 12 years of relevant experience (Prior experience in credit strategy within the FMCG/FMEG industry preferred). - Ability to merge domain knowledge with business requirements. - Strong experience in customer management and risk evaluation. - Proficient in stakeholder management.,
