Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Software Test Engineer with 6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand business requirements, functional specifications, and use cases to create effective test scenarios and test cases.
  • Execute manual test cases and report bugs with proper documentation.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or similar.
  • Participate in test planning, estimation, and risk analysis activities.
  • Perform regression, functional, smoke, and integration testing.
  • Collaborate with development teams to understand features and technical implementation.
  • Log and track bugs in tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar.
  • Provide clear and concise bug reports and support debugging.
  • Work in an Agile/Scrum environment and contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in software testing.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
  • Hands-on experience with manual testing techniques.
  • Basic to intermediate experience in automation testing using tools such as :
  • Selenium WebDriver
  • TestNG / JUnit
  • Postman (for API testing)
  • Basic scripting in Java/Python/JavaScript (depending on framework used)
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
