Cluster Head - Iron Ore (Kurmitar & Taldih), Odisha

Purpose/Objective

Incumbent is to Head Cluster of Iron Ore business of Adani Natural Resources to ensure Operational excellence and sustainable growth. Cluster Head at mine location will be responsible for managing overall cost and achieve profit as per the budget and Operations at overall level. Accountable to enhance ROCE, drive volume & revenue growth across categories, productivity, efficiencies, and profitability. Strong, predictable & positive cash flows while maintaining growth trajectory is an important imperative for the position. Incumbent is also responsible for on schedule completion of projects (for capacity development).

Key Responsibilities of Role

1. Ensuring the project completion as per budgeted cost & time
2. Optimum performance of the Iron ore mine (s) to achieve current and future targets
3. Driving a safe and healthy workplace by promoting the company’s safety standards and procedures and ensure safe working conditions within mining operations
4. Setting performance standards and continuously innovating to improve efficiency consistent with annual mine plans as well as best practices.
5. Implementing fit to use technology with future goal of enhancing productivity and cost effectiveness with lean organization
6. Directing and leading the team of professionals in order to deliver business performance expectations
7. Liaison with all relevant stakeholders for smooth functioning of the business
8. Demonstrating integrity, pragmatism and trust in all interactions with community, and internal stakeholders
9. Playing a pivotal role in the expansion and development of our new mine operations
10. Lead the development and optimization of long term mine design. Schedule the plan and thereafter provide medium and long term mine planning options which will ensure the resource is mined in the most cost-effective way consistent with company and legislative requirements
11. Lead the process for the procurement of the mine operational equipment including the equipment specification, tender evaluation, contract negotiation and project management of the equipment delivery.

Qualifications:

BE / B. Tech (Mining) or related field.

Experience:

• 20 - 25 years relevant experience in the mining industry, with minimum of 5-7 years in Senior Managerial Position with relevant commercial knowledge work experience
• Must have experience in liaison with relevant external stakeholders in eastern region
• Good written and oral communication skills in the English language.
• Experience in developing and managing large infra contracts
• Experience in managing people with respect to skills development and succession and career planning
• Experience to manage/lead viability project studies and to evaluate projects, financial evaluations of projects.
• High level of analytical ability and commercial acumen
• Experience of managing large contract / outsource activities
• Should have implemented automation and technology-based processes.
• Good knowledge of data analytics
