Civil Engineer (Site Engineer)

Job Purpose

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for planning, execution, and quality control of all civil and structural works related to solar power plant projects, including foundations, mounting structures, roads, drainage, and site development, ensuring timely, safe, and cost-effective delivery.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor all civil construction activities for solar power plant sites.
• Oversee construction of foundations, mounting structure bases, inverter rooms, control rooms, and site infrastructure.
• Conduct site surveys, soil investigation coordination, and layout planning.
• Ensure adherence to drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety norms.
• Coordinate with structural designers, electrical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Supervise contractors and subcontractors to ensure timely progress and quality workmanship.
• Manage quantities, measurements, BOQs, billing verification, and material reconciliation.
• Monitor project timelines and report progress, risks, and delays to the Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with statutory approvals, environmental guidelines, and local regulations.
• Maintain proper documentation — daily progress reports, inspection reports, test reports, and handover documents.
• Implement and enforce safety practices at the site.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of civil works related to industrial / infrastructure / renewable energy projects.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with solar mounting structures, pile foundations, and site development practices is preferred.
• Good coordination, communication, and contractor management skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and basic project reporting tools.
• Strong problem-solving and site execution capability.

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
• Experience: 2–6 years in civil construction, preferably in solar, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
• Experience in solar power plant construction will be an added advantage.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
