Job Description – City Lead (Selection Onboarding Program)

Employment Type: Full-time (Six Days Workweek) Reports to: Business Lead/Program Manager

Role Summary

The City Lead will manage and guide a team of Selection Onboarding Executives responsible for identifying and onboarding sellers for Amazon.in in assigned product categories. This role involves planning daily market activities, monitoring performance, ensuring targets are met, and providing on-ground support to the team. The City Lead will also act as the main point of contact for local operations and coordinate with regional leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 10-12 feet-on-street executives (Selection Onboarding executives) spread across multiple cities to achieve Seller and Selection onboarding, Seller Success and Gross Merchandise Sales (GMS) goals for the assigned geography (1-3 states)

• Plan and assign market routes and seller targeting for the frontline team

• Ensure the team identifies the right products (selection) in given categories and brings sellers who can sell them onto the marketplace

• Track and review daily, weekly, and monthly Seller & Selection onboarding, Seller Success & GMS performance at FOS level

• Provide guidance and unblock FOS on the onboarding processes, catalogue creation, and Seller handholding

• Conduct regular market visits with FOS to monitor quality of onboarding and coach them on field practices

• Resolve seller escalations and ensure smooth post-launch support

• Coordinate with the stakeholders for training, policy updates, and process improvements

• Own career growth and performance management for the assigned team

Experience & Skills Required

• Minimum 4 years of experience in sales or field operations, with at least 2 year in a team lead or people manager role.

• Strong people management skills.

• Should be comfortable working with data and proficient in basic to intermediate Excel functions.

• Good knowledge of the local market and seller landscape.

• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and convincing skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet targets.

• Experience with online selling platforms is preferred but not mandatory.
