Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Chinese Translator with experience or familiarity in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry to facilitate effective communication between Chinese and Non-Chinese-speaking stakeholders. The translator will support cross-functional teams including engineering, quality, procurement, and production in translating technical documents, emails, and verbal communications. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Translate technical documents, process sheets, work instructions, and quality reports from Chinese to English and vice versa. 
• Interpret in real-time during meetings, factory floor visits, and training sessions between Chinese and English-speaking teams. 
• Assist in communications with Chinese suppliers, customers, or partner factories. 
• Ensure translations are accurate, consistent, and maintain the context of the original material, particularly with technical or industry-specific terms. 
• Support new product introductions (NPI) and engineering change communications by translating relevant technical data. 
• Help local teams understand Chinese SOPs, assembly instructions, and machine manuals. 
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive documents and information. 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Languages, Engineering, or related field. 
• Fluency in

  Chinese

  and

  English

  is mandatory. 
• 4+ years of experience in translation or interpretation, preferably in a manufacturing or EMS environment. 
• Understanding of EMS industry terminology, including SMT, PCBA, BOM, Gerber files, etc., is highly desirable. 
• Strong communication skills and cultural sensitivity. 
• Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of translation tools is a plus. 

Preferred Skills:

• Background in electronics or industrial engineering. 
• Experience working in a bilingual team setup. 
• Prior experience with Chinese suppliers or contract manufacturers (e.g., Foxconn, Pegatron, BYD). 

Working Conditions:

• May require travel to manufacturing sites or supplier locations. 
• Fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and adaptability.
