Job Title: Sub Editor – Tech & Business Journalism
Part of The Guild’s Integrated Editorial Vision
📍 Location: Noida | Onsite | 🕒 Experience: 4-6 Years | 💼 Type: Full-Time
At The Guild, we believe that storytelling is a tool of influence, clarity, and leadership — especially in the B2B economy. We are building an integrated editorial engine that doesn’t just report on the future of business and technology, but helps shape it.
This role offers a rare opportunity to work at the heart of The Guild’s editorial transformation, contributing across two of its flagship platforms — SME Futures and the soon-to-launch CIO Guild.
SME Futures is India’s leading digital media platform covering the country’s most dynamic, yet under-represented business sector — MSMEs. From new-age entrepreneurs to policy-shifting reforms, from grassroots innovations to digital-first pivots — we go beyond headlines to tell stories of ambition, adversity, and acceleration.
What sets us apart is our commitment to deep research, narrative craft, and visual-first storytelling. We cover MSMEs the way business magazines cover Fortune 500s — with rigor, empathy, and voice.
Launching soon, CIO Guild is The Guild’s new media platform for technology decision-makers — CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, and Digital Transformation leaders. As India’s enterprises embrace AI, automation, and cloud-first strategies, there is a growing need for a credible, editorially rich platform that connects leadership thinking with technology execution.
CIO Guild will blend long-form analysis, CXO interviews, video storytelling, and high-concept explainers — making it India’s first bold step toward a Wired-for-Enterprise or MIT Tech Review-meets-Business Insider approach.
You’ll play a pivotal role in shaping this new platform.
We’re looking for a smart, sharp, and versatile Sub Editor who thrives at the intersection of business and technology. Someone who can switch between long-form editing and crisp social copy, manage the content CMS, and interview CXOs on camera and off. This is not a desk-bound job. It’s an editorial ownership

• Uphold high standards of accuracy, originality, and ethical journalism.
• Conduct interviews (text + video) with CIOs, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders.
• Frame sharp questions, build narratives, and convert raw inputs into compelling content.
• Coordinate with the design and video teams to package stories into multi-format editorial products.
• Upload and manage content in WordPress — ensuring metadata, tags, formatting, and links are optimized.
• Maintain and update editorial calendars across both platforms.
• Ensure content goes live with speed, accuracy, and editorial polish.
• Liaise with freelance writers, guest columnists, and expert contributors.
• Guide them on briefs, polish their drafts, and ensure final publish quality.
• Coordinate with marketing, design, research, and leadership teams for story rollout.
• Stay updated on MSME developments, tech disruptions, policy changes, and enterprise leadership trends.
• Propose fresh story formats — explainers, listicles, playbooks, carousel decks, and micro-content.
• Help build editorial IPs that can be scaled.
• 4–6 years of editorial experience in a digital newsroom, business magazine, or B2B publication.
• Proven ability to edit and restructure copy with clarity and confidence.
• Experience in conducting CXO interviews (or willingness to quickly learn and lead).
• Familiarity with enterprise tech (AI, cloud, digital transformation) or MSME/startup ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of SEO, digital publishing tools (WordPress), and editorial best practices.
• Comfort with multitasking, deadlines, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Bonus: Ability to work with Canva or basic image tools; interest in data visualization.
• Editorial ownership in India’s most exciting B2B media ecosystem.
• A front-row seat to conversations shaping India’s business and tech future.
• Cross-platform visibility — from MSMEs to CIOs, from long-form to video storytelling.
• A highly collaborative, flexible work environment that rewards initiative, creativity, and voice.
• A chance to grow beyond sub-editing into strategic editorial leadership.
