Chief Scientific Officer

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Nashik for a Chief Scientific Officer. The Chief Scientific Officer will be responsible for leading the research and development (R&D) initiatives, overseeing scientific and medical research projects, managing laboratory operations, and ensuring compliance with scientific standards. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with other departments to align scientific research with business goals and staying current with scientific advancements to drive innovation.

Key Pointers

Building the Entire CDMO Vertical from Scratch (R&D Labs, Production, QA, Process Safety, EHS, P&L).

Develop and execute growth strategies, resulting in steady increase in revenue, expansion of service offerings, and Development of overall CDMO capabilities.

Implement market analysis frameworks and target marketing strategies to expand service offerings and position the organization as a leading player in the CDMO space

Site Readiness Including setting up of New Labs  

Should be having prior Background in Technical Operations in R&D / Innovative Chemistry & CDMO

Proven track record of driving operational excellence, spearheading strategic initiatives, delivering high-quality, cost-effective solutions to complex challenges in drug development and commercialization.

Direct end-to-end CDMO operations, including drug substance development, manufacturing, and supply, while ensuring adherence to cGMP, FDA, and EMA regulatory standards.

Oversaw daily manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and achieving high levels of quality assurance across production sites.

Lead cross-functional teams in designing and implementing customized manufacturing solutions that align with client objectives and accelerate go-to-market timelines.

Establish and maintain high-level relationships with key clients, fostering trust and loyalty and consistently delivering exceptional service to meet or exceed expectations.

Oversee budgeting and resource allocation for large-scale projects, achieving cost savings through streamlined processes and lean manufacturing principles.

Experience : 15 + yrs.' in API and R&D

Qualifications

• Research and Development (R&D) management and Research skills
• Expertise in Science and Medicine
• Proficiency in Laboratory Skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Doctorate degree (PhD) in a scientific discipline or Medicine
• Extensive experience in scientific research and development roles
