Job Description

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Experience: 3 - 7 years (Revenue Operations, Business Operations, or Strategy roles; FMCG / Dairy background preferred)


Role overview

The Chief of Staff is the CEO’s hands-on execution partner — responsible for leading special projects, strengthening sales operations, and ensuring that strategic priorities deliver results on the ground.


This is a doer’s role — ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys solving operational problems firsthand, and can work independently across functions.


Key Responsibilities


I. Lead Special Projects

  • Execute high-impact initiatives directly from the CEO’s office — e.g., new SKU launches, new dairy plant work management, cost-reduction programs, or systems implementation.
  • Build detailed project plans, align internal and external stakeholders, and deliver measurable outcomes with minimal oversight.
  • Report progress to the CEO weekly — concise, factual, and solution-oriented.


II. Strengthen Sales Operations

  • Work closely with the Head of Sales to ensure revenue growth, high team productivity, territory hygiene, and data discipline.
  • Conduct regular field audits — travel with sales executives and distributors to understand route realities, outlet coverage, and in-store execution.
  • Identify process gaps and replicate best practices across regions.
  • Pilot new initiatives to improve sales velocity: route redesigns, secondary sales capture, visibility tools, incentive models, etc.
  • Drive accountability in OOS tracking, SKU mix, and route productivity.


III. Cross-Functional Execution

  • Follow up with Plant, Logistics, QC, Finance, Procurement etc. to ensure timely delivery of CEO priorities (new products, cost saving measures etc.).
  • Anticipate bottlenecks and coordinate quick resolutions.
  • Maintain strong on-ground visibility and feedback loops from both market and internal teams.


IV. CEO Office Management

  • Prepare concise updates and briefs for CEO meetings — facts and insights, not slides.
  • Represent the CEO in internal or vendor meetings when delegated.
  • Uphold confidentiality and reinforce the CEO’s culture of speed, truth, and accountability.


Ideal Profile

  • Experience:

    3–7 years in

    Revenue Operations, Business Operations, Project / Program Management, or Strategy

    roles.
  • Background in

    FMCG / Dairy

    preferred; strong understanding of distribution, plant, or supply-chain operations.
  • MBA from a top institute

    ideal (not mandatory).
  • Demonstrated

    bias toward action

    — gets things done without waiting for instructions.
  • Hands-on, data-savvy, and comfortable spending time in the field; comfortable working with everyone from salesmen to senior managers.
  • Excellent communicator who can bridge shop-floor realities with leadership expectations.
  • Emotionally mature, grounded, and able to work with cross-functional teams under pressure.
  • Willing to travel extensively across Kerala (40–50 % of time).
