Job Title: Chief of Staff – Technology

Role Summary:

Kotak Mahindra Bank is seeking a highly driven and strategic Chief of Staff – Technology to lead cross-functional execution across the Consumer Bank Technology team. This role is pivotal to the bank’s digital transformation journey, requiring a strong command of program management, system design, stakeholder engagement, and delivery excellence. The Chief of Staff will serve as a key liaison between technology leadership and executive offices, ensuring alignment, transparency, and impact. The role will report to the Head of Technology for Digital Products and Distribution.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Transformation

- Partner with the Consumer Bank leadership team to drive strategic initiatives aligned with the bank’s digital transformation goals.

- Translate high-level vision into actionable plans and ensure execution across multiple technology workstreams.

- Prepare and present strategic updates, dashboards, and insights to the CTO and CEO offices.

Program Management & Delivery

- Lead and oversee large-scale technology programs, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and alignment with business objectives.

- Implement robust governance frameworks and track KPIs, OKRs, and milestones.

- Proactively identify risks and bottlenecks, and drive resolution through cross-functional collaboration.

Stakeholder Management

- Act as a central point of coordination between engineering, product, design, and business teams.

- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and execution.

- Represent the Consumer Bank Tech team in executive meetings, steering committees, and strategic forums.

System Design & Technical Oversight

- Collaborate with architects and engineering leads to ensure scalable, secure, and customer-centric system design.

- Provide strategic input on technology architecture, platform modernization, and mobile app enhancements.

- Ensure alignment of system design with long-term business and technology goals.

Mandatory Skills & Qualifications:

- Program Management: Proven experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder technology programs.

- Delivery Excellence: Strong track record of delivering high-impact technology solutions on time and within scope.

- Stakeholder Management: Ability to influence and engage with senior leadership, including CTO and CEO.

- System Design: Deep understanding of scalable system architecture, mobile platforms, and digital banking technologies.

Preferred Experience:

- 18-20 years in technology leadership roles preferably banking, fintech, or enterprise digital transformation.

- Experience working in agile environments with cross-functional teams.

- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

- B.Tech/M.Tech or equivalent qualification.

- Role would be based out of Hyderabad.
