Job Description

The Chief Financial Officer will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for driving the financial health of the organization while playing an active role in strategic growth initiatives. This role goes beyond traditional finance functions the CFO will work closely with the Directors and other senior management members to evaluate, design, and execute new business opportunities, partnerships, and investments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and implement the companys financial strategy aligned with overall business goals.
  • Ensure robust financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis to drive profitability.
  • Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to support growth initiatives.
  • Oversee compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (Tax, GST, Companies Act, etc.).

2. Business Opportunity Exploration

  • Collaborate with the Directors and business heads to identify and evaluate new business opportunities (organic and inorganic).
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and ROI analysis for potential ventures.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic alliances from a financial perspective.
  • Negotiate and structure deals with partners, investors, and stakeholders.

3. Investment & Capital Management

  • Optimize capital structure and funding strategy for business expansion.
  • Manage relationships with banks, investors, and financial institutions.
  • Drive investor presentations, roadshows, and fundraising activities when required.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with marketing, operations, and technology teams to ensure alignment of financial goals with business strategies.
  • Provide financial insights and guidance to support decision-making across departments.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, performance measurement, and financial discipline.

5. Governance & Risk Management

  • Establish strong internal controls and corporate governance frameworks.
  • Monitor business risks and ensure effective mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain transparency in financial reporting for stakeholders.
