Role & responsibilities Roles and Responsibilities 1. Strategy, Planning, and Management Act as the Chief Financial Officer and strategic business partner to the senior executive leadership team. Assess and evaluate the financial performance of the organization in relation to long-term operational goals, budgets, and forecasts. Provide strategic insight and recommendations for both short-term and long-term growth plans. Identify, evaluate, acquire, and implement systems and software that support the provision of critical financial and operational information; drive automation and improved efficiency across departments. Actively engage and communicate with the Board of Directors, CEO, COO, and Executive Leadership Team. Establish annual financial objectives that align with the companys overall strategic goals and growth trajectory. Select and engage external consultants, auditors, and potential investors to support business needs. Serve as a core member of the Executive Leadership Team and participate in key discussions and decision-making forums. Contribute to strategic decisions affecting operational models, financial structures, and organizational direction. Ensure departmental alignment with board initiatives, strategic plans, and leadership recommendations. Develop and enforce policies, procedures, and processes aligned with organizational goals. Lead the organizations IPO journey , including due diligence, coordination with merchant bankers, lawyers, consultants, and managing documentation and compliance processes. 2. Financial Analysis, Budgeting, and Forecasting Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reports, including monthly profit and loss statements by division, budget vs. forecast analysis, and weekly cash flow updates. Review and analyze financial results and trends, offering actionable recommendations to leadership. Design and conduct in-depth financial analysis to evaluate and support new business initiatives and investments. 3. Accounting, General Ledger, Administration, and Operations Oversee the accounting department to ensure optimal operation of systems, databases, and financial software. Maintain, upgrade, and supervise all accounting systems, ensuring regular backups and system integrity. Ensure strong internal controls and adherence to financial procedures and compliance standards. Guarantee timely and accurate preparation of management and financial reports for the board and stakeholders. Manage the full financial statement cycleweekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually—ensuring completeness and accuracy. Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, identifying areas of inefficiency and improving procedures. Supervise general ledger accuracy, balance sheet reconciliations, and overhead allocations. Drive the continuous improvement of financial systems, processes, tools, and controls. Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, leading audit preparation and follow-up. 4. Financial Management Manage and optimize the company’s cash flow planning process, ensuring sufficient liquidity and fund availability. Oversee investment activities, asset management, and the company's overall financial position. Identify and assess new investment opportunities, offering risk-return analyses and strategic recommendations. Maintain strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, vendors, and strategic partners. Leverage forecasting models and activity-based financial analyses to inform planning and budgeting. Collaborate with finance committees and board members to formulate financial strategies and long-range projections. Represent the company in financial matters involving banks, investors, external auditors, and regulatory officials. Stay updated on financial best practices, audit standards, and evolving regulatory requirements. Supervise and guide accounts receivable operations, ensuring effective collection strategies and working capital management. Preferred candidate profile CA with Bachelor degree of commerce. “Hands On” ERP System Experience Outstanding Communication and Presentation Skills Excellent analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls and compliance-related issues.
