Job Description – Chef de Partie Role Overview: We are looking for a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our culinary team at Panch Dakshin, a South Indian QSR setup. The CDP will be responsible for preparing and executing authentic South Indian dishes with speed, consistency, and attention to quality. The role demands expertise in dosa, idli, vada, and regional specialties, while maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and kitchen discipline. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and cook South Indian dishes (dosa, idli, vada, uttapam, rice varieties, snacks, etc.) with authenticity and consistency. * Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including mise-en-place, portion control, and timely service. * Ensure food is prepared quickly and efficiently to match QSR-style service. * Maintain hygiene, safety, and sanitation standards as per FSSAI guidelines. * Monitor stock levels of raw materials (batter, spices, condiments) and coordinate with the Head Chef for replenishment. * Train and guide commis chefs and kitchen assistants to maintain efficiency. * Ensure recipes and plating standards are followed as per brand SOPs. * Work closely with the team to minimize wastage and optimize food cost. Requirements: * Proven experience as a Chef de Partie / Line Cook in South Indian cuisine. * Strong knowledge of dosa, idli, vada, chutneys, sambar, and regional specialties. * Ability to work in a fast-paced QSR environment. * Sound knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and peak hours. Preferred Qualifications: * Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a South Indian kitchen or QSR setup. * Diploma/Certification in Culinary Arts or Hotel Management (preferred, not mandatory). * Passion for delivering authentic flavors with consistency.
