As an Application Chef at Bayfield Food Ingredients, you will be a key member of the dynamic culinary development team, responsible for showcasing the versatility and value of Bayfield's high-quality food ingredients through innovative Fusion food applications across various categories. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and demonstrate a wide range of Fusion foods, beverages, and bakery ingredients utilizing Bayfield's premium ingredients, including savory dishes, culinary products, innovative beverage solutions, baked and grilled products, and dairy-based items. - Conduct culinary trials and experiments to evaluate the performance and sensory attributes of Bayfield's ingredients in different applications. - Train customers by conducting trials at their locations and create detailed recipes with ingredient lists, cooking instructions, and sensory evaluations. - Present food samples to internal and external stakeholders, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and stay updated on culinary trends and consumer preferences. - Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the culinary lab, participate in industry events, trade shows, and customer demonstrations. **Qualifications Required:** - **Education:** Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Food Science, or a related field is preferred. - **Experience:** 3 to 6 years of professional culinary experience in settings like restaurants, food manufacturing, or culinary schools, with a proven track record in recipe development and food product formulation. - **Skills:** Strong culinary skills encompassing baking, cooking, and food preparation techniques, along with an excellent understanding of food science principles and ingredient functionality. Creative and innovative thinking, exceptional communication and presentation skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ability to work independently or as part of a team, strong attention to detail, and organizational skills are essential. - **Preferred:** Experience in food ingredients and/or food manufacturing environments, as well as knowledge of sensory evaluation techniques.
