Job Description

  • Prepare and cook dishes in your designated section of the kitchen, ensuring the highest quality and adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
  • Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in planning and developing new menu items, considering seasonal availability and customer preferences.
  • Train and supervise junior members of the kitchen team working in your section, providing guidance and support to maintain consistency in food preparation.
  • Coordinate with other sections of the kitchen during busy periods to ensure timely service and a smooth flow of food to the dining area.
  • Monitor inventory levels for ingredients in your section and communicate with the kitchen manager or purchasing department to order supplies as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following food safety and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Ensure that all dishes leaving your section are of the highest quality and meet presentation guidelines before being served to customers.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of standardized recipes and portion control to minimize food waste and maintain cost efficiency.
  • Participate in menu tastings and contribute ideas to enhance existing dishes or create new ones.
  • Collaborate with other team members to address any kitchen-related issues and find effective solutions.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and cooking procedures.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities to guide and motivate junior kitchen staff.
  • Passion for food and creativity to contribute to menu development.
  • Flexibility to work in various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month

  • Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Education:

  • Diploma (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Chef: 3 years (Preferred)
