Job Description

You will be responsible for securing and servicing catering business from the Social and Corporate Market to maintain FS standards and maximize revenue/profit potential. Your role and responsibilities will include: - Actively soliciting new business and responding to inquiries to confirm profitable catering business and achieve Quarterly Sales Goals. - Maintaining an active trace/follow-up system on all inquiries and personal sales calls. - Conducting property tours and entertaining planners of meetings, social events, and weddings. - Coordinating the sales efforts between the sales department and catering to ensure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenues. - Finalizing the requirements of confirmed bookings while maximizing revenue potential through upselling and ensuring effective communication with all departments for the success of the event. - Keeping the Director of Catering/Catering Conference Services informed of all problems or unusual matters promptly. - Supervising the execution of banquet events and ensuring client satisfaction. - Proactively going out to designated areas for sales calls. - Working closely with a sales buddy and coordinating all tasks related to sales. - Complying with Four Seasons standards for sales and marketing and working harmoniously with co-workers. - Mentoring and developing Administrative staff for future career growth. - Assisting with all guest inquiries within the Sales, Marketing, and Conference Services Department. - Providing input on the marketing plan and budget. - Being fully versed in the facilities and capabilities of the resort's competitive set. - Maintaining a visible presence in the community through involvement with industry associations. - Assisting in developing and executing projects for assigned market areas to increase catering activity, volume, and profit. Qualifications required for this role include: - Education: College Education preferred - Experience: 3-5 years of previous catering sales and/or banquet assistant manager/captain experience. - Skills and Abilities: Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language, strong selling and interpersonal skills, high level of creativity, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions in a fast-paced client-driven environment, ability to work long and irregular hours, weekends, and evenings. Familiarity with Delphi Sales and Catering Computer Software, MS Word, Excel, and ability to use email and the Internet is necessary.,
