What's the role

In this role, you lead the Category Management of Fresh Food, Beverages, and associated offers for Shells Non-Fuel Retail Business in India. You manage products offered under the Deli2Go and Shell Caf brands, including bean-to-cup coffee, other beverages, and fresh food prepared on-site or sourced from credible third-party suppliers. You are responsible for building a strong customer value proposition (CVP) through excellent product and service offerings, marketing programs, and site-level execution. Your goal is to deliver profitable growth for the Deli2Go brand and champion the Integrated Retail Offer concept to set industry-leading standards in India.

What you will be doing

  • Act as the

    country focal

    for delivering the Fresh Food & Beverage category P&L.
  • Support the Sales team in achieving

    top-line and bottom-line targets

    for the category.
  • Manage all aspects of the category including:
  • Product portfolio
  • Pricing for Company-Owned (CO) and Dealer-Owned (DO) channels
  • Marketing plans
  • Safety and compliance
  • People skills and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Own and manage

    supplier contracts

    in the category.
  • Actively manage

    category profitability

    and ensure retailer understanding in collaboration with the Operations team.
  • Work with the Engineering team to review

    site facilities

    and ensure they are fit for purpose.
  • Establish a

    maintenance program

    for category assets in collaboration with the FMC team.
  • Collaborate with the Operations team on

    Retailer Value Proposition

    and PMTDR.
  • Handle

    customer complaint management

    through the Customer Service Centre (CSC).
  • Plan, review, and monitor the

    category SP&A budget

    .
  • Partner with the Learning & Development team to:
  • Roll out, sustain, and track progress of the

    Barista Club

  • Ensure site staff competency through appropriate training
  • Identify

    innovative sources of supplier income

    to support C3 delivery.

What you bring

  • Experience in managing

    food and coffee categories

    and working with key CR suppliers.
  • Strong

    commercial acumen

    , analytical ability, and communication skills.
  • Experience in

    marketing planning

    and a proven track record in

    operational delivery

    .
  • Excellent

    stakeholder management

    and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and deliver through others.
  • Professional experience in

    retail, food & beverage, and category management

    is an advantage.
  • Experience in

    contract management

    to optimize Shells value and reduce missed opportunities.
