Category Manager

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end performance of the assigned category, including revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities.
• Develop and execute category strategies including product selection, pricing, promotions, and inventory planning.
• Coordinate with suppliers/vendors to ensure best deals, timely supply, and optimal product mix.
• Work closely with marketing and sales teams to create category-specific campaigns and improve visibility.
• Monitor category performance metrics and generate reports for management reviews.
• Identify customer needs and trends, and optimize product offerings accordingly.
• Manage product lifecycle and ensure timely introduction or discontinuation of SKUs.
• Collaborate with the supply chain and operations team to ensure stock availability and logistics efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 3–6 years of experience in category management, merchandising, retail, or e-commerce.
• Strong analytical skills with a data-driven mindset.
• Proficiency in Excel, data analysis tools, and category performance metrics.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
