Cargo Supervisor

WE ARE HIRING FOR A CARGO SUPERVISOR @ RAIPUR CITY

Responsibilities:

• To provide relevant support to the Export, Import, Inbound and Outbound Cool port Operations;
• Facilitating smooth cargo operations at the station through coordination for safe, secure and effective movement of inbound and outbound cargo;
• Support the continuous improvement of Coolport operations through personal effort, involvement and commitment;
• Compliance monitoring;
• Assist where required;
• Responsible and accountable for overall quality, safety and security of operations.
• Mandatory compliance to PPE requirement-wearing of gloves , safety shoes, safety vests and face mask at all times;
• Conduct cargo operations in accordance with applicable regulations and standards as laid down in AISATS cargo manual;
• Acceptance and handling of cargo;
• Managing and leading operations staff on duty, contributing to the highest levels of service standards and reduce operations costs;
• Ensuring local station operational support functions are working smoothly, including trucking, ULD handling, use of consumables etc.
• Monitors and control all activities within the Coolport on a shift basis;
• Ensure reliable customer service delivery and on time performance is maintained at the highest level;
• Prepare and upload staff roster to meet operational requirements and ensure proper planning and coordination amongst team members with effective leave management to deploy manpower for all allocations in cargo.
• Coordinate with HRA for all HR and payroll related concerns;
• Prepares daily reports and ensures all documentation pertaining to operations including related admin paperwork and staff overtime in a timely manner;
• Providing guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance;
• Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts, or otherwise negotiating with others;
• Direct delivery trucks to shipping doors or designated marshaling areas, and supervise loading and unloading of goods safely;
• Monitor cargo acceptance operations, and ensure that they conform to airline requirements and company procedures;
• Ensure that documentation at the acceptance and cargo acceptance at truck dock are performed in a timely manner as per the performance standards;
• Monitor and ensure sufficient stock of stationery for use;
• Brief and update staff on new procedures and other operational matters;
• Ensure physical presence while screening of sensitive shipments;
• Highlight to DM if booked cargo is accepted after acceptance cutoff time;
• Ensure good housekeeping;
• Ensure that cargo assistants are properly deployed and accounted for at all times;

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors and/or Master Degree equivalent.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 48 Months work experience in Air Cargo Operations / Freight Handling and warehousing of which last 12 months is on a supervisory level

• Expertise in IATA Cargo Handling Procedures and Regulations and familiar with fundamentals of Load Control.
• Eligible in Dangerous Goods Acceptance and Live Animal Regulations will be an added advantage.
• Effective people management and planning / organizing skills, customer focused and analytical with good judgment.
