Calibration Engineer

The Calibration Executive is reponsible to support and execute calibration activities under the guidance of the Calibration Manager. He will be responsible for ensuring the proper calibration, testing, and debugging of OES systems to maintain operational efficiency. The role requires him to work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring materials and resources are aligned with production plans, and contribute to continuous improvement and problem-solving initiatives.

Major responsibilities:

Calibration Activities:

• Execute calibration, testing, and debugging of OES systems as per defined procedures and standards.

• Identify and escalate unresolved calibration issues to the Calibration Manager.

Performance Monitoring:

• Analyze and report daily/shift calibration performance to the manager.

• Assist in reviewing stoppages and implementing corrective actions for improved efficiency.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with warehouse, production, and PPC teams to ensure material availability for calibration activities.

• Support R&D and design teams in resolving technical issues related to calibration.

Continuous Improvement:

• Participate in Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve calibration productivity.

• Identify areas for improvement in calibration processes to enhance performance and reduce the cost of poor quality (CoPQ).

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and ISO regulations during calibration operations.

• Participate in problem-solving initiatives on the shop floor through Lean Boot Camp and daily management practices.

Skill Development:

• Engage in skill development activities for shop floor associates, ensuring continuous learning and enhancement of operational capabilities.

Qualifications:

Diploma/B.E/ITI/BSC and MSc Physics.
