Calibration Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform

  calibration of measuring instruments

  (electrical, mechanical, thermal, pressure, dimensional, analytical, etc.) as per approved procedures
• Ensure compliance with

  ISO, NABL, GMP, GLP, FDA, and other regulatory standards

• Develop, review, and maintain calibration schedules

  and master lists
• Identify out-of-tolerance instruments and initiate

  corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

• Maintain accurate calibration records, certificates, and documentation

• Coordinate with external calibration laboratories

  when required
• Label and control calibrated, non-calibrated, and rejected instruments
• Support

  internal and external audits

  related to calibration activities
• Analyze calibration data and prepare

  trend analysis reports

• Ensure traceability of instruments to national/international standards

• Assist in validation and qualification activities (IQ, OQ, PQ) when required

• Follow safety guidelines and ensure proper handling of instruments

• Train technicians/operators on proper instrument usage and care

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of

  calibration techniques and standards

• Understanding of measurement uncertainty and traceability

• Familiarity with quality systems and regulatory requirements

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Good documentation and reporting skills

• Analytical thinking and attention to detail

• Proficiency in MS Excel / calibration management software

Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in

  Engineering

  (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics, or related field)
• Certification in

  Calibration / Metrology

  (preferred)

Experience

• 1–5 years

  : Calibration Engineer

Work Environment

• Manufacturing plants, laboratories, pharmaceutical, biomedical, electronics, or industrial facilities
• May involve handling precision instruments and working in controlled environments
