Job Description

As a CAE Engineer/Analyst, your role will involve Vehicle Crash CAE Simulation & Evaluation. You will be responsible for: - Preparing full vehicle CAE models using HYPERMESH/ANSA/PRIMER, including mesh discretization, assembly, constraints, and load setting for automotive sub-systems and components. - Conducting system and full vehicle simulation using LS-Dyna software for the development of vehicle body and aggregates for Crash & Occupant Safety using CAE. - Performing model optimization and robustness using tools like DiffCrash, Mode Frontier, LS-OPT. - Interpreting results in LS-PrePost/Hyperview/Hypergraph to comprehend failure modes and provide directions for countermeasures through parameter studies on the FEM model. - Preparing reports and communicating with stakeholders for the design and testing of countermeasures implementation. - Collaborating with Testing teams to analyze failures, correlate CAE results with physical testing results, and enhance CAE methodology. Qualifications required for this role include: - Essential: BE/B Tech (preferably Mechanical) - Desirable: ME/M Tech (preferably Mechanical Design or equivalent) - Minimum 3 years and maximum 6 years of experience in the field - No age limit specified Competency requirements: Technical/Functional: - Strong fundamentals in Strength of Materials, Theory of Elasticity/Plasticity. - Good understanding of Automotive Body, Sheet metal & Plastic part design. - Knowledge of AIS Safety Regulations, NCAP protocols, and Finite Element Analysis in the Automotive Crash & Occupant Safety CAE domain. - Experience in debugging CAE models for LS-Dyna environment, interpreting results, and post-processing the deck. - Ability to work with CAE engineers, make design modifications based on CAE inputs, and prepare comprehensive analysis reports with countermeasure proposals. - Exposure to physical testing and understanding test conditions representation in CAE is preferred.
