As a CAE Analyst specializing in Crash Simulation, you will be responsible for conducting and analyzing crash simulations using LS-DYNA or PAM-CRASH. Your expertise in various vehicle crash test scenarios, including regulatory, NCAP, and OEM-specific load cases, will be crucial for model setup, execution, result analysis, and reporting for different types of crash tests such as frontal, side, rear, pedestrian, and seat integrity. Key Responsibilities: - Setting up, running, and validating crash simulations using LS-DYNA or PAM-CRASH. - Applying appropriate material models, contacts, boundary conditions, and loadings for each crash event. - Interpreting and analyzing crash test results, including intrusion, acceleration, deformation, injury criteria, etc. - Providing technical insights and recommendations to design and safety teams. - Ensuring model compliance with OEM guidelines, NCAP protocols, and global crash regulations. - Participating in debugging, result correlation, and model improvement activities. Your role will involve preparing full vehicle CAE models using HYPERMESH/ANSA/PRIMER for automotive subsystems and components, conducting system and full vehicle simulation using LS-Dyna software, developing vehicle body and aggregates for crash & occupant safety, and optimizing models using tools like DiffCrash and Mode Frontier. You will be required to interpret results in LS-PrePost/Hyperview/Hypergraph, comprehend failure modes, and provide directions for countermeasures through parameter studies on the FEM model.
