Job Description

Role Overview

The Business Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the companys business operations, driving innovation in management and reporting systems and ensuring strict compliance with legal and industry regulations. This role involves preparing advanced reports and presenting them directly to the CEO to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Compliance Oversight

  • Managing and overseeing day-to-day operations across organizational functions to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and statutory requirements (including GST filings and audits).
  • Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify gaps and mitigate risks.
  • Act as the custodian of compliance-related communication with the CEO and board.

Technical Reporting & Analytics

  • Design and implement advanced reporting systems using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL and Python).
  • Automate preparation of compliance reports, GST summaries, and operational dashboards.
  • Generate customized reports for the CEO and for clients.
  • Integrate analytics and forecasting tools to provide insights into risks, trends, and opportunities.
  • Standardize reporting formats across departments for accuracy and transparency.

CEO Reporting & Strategic Support

  • Present regular compliance and GST reports directly to the CEO.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on operational and compliance data.
  • Act as the CEO’s key advisor on compliance risks, operational efficiency, and reporting innovations.
  • Ensure timely communication of compliance breaches, GST updates, and regulatory changes.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Drive adoption of emerging technologies (automation, AI, cloud solutions) to enhance reporting and compliance tracking.
  • Benchmark industry best practices and implement process improvements.
  • Ensure reporting systems evolve with regulatory changes and client expectations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong background in IT/ITES operations management.
  • Expertise in reporting and compliance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in reporting tools and data visualization platforms.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to design KPIs and dashboards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Finance, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in operations management in IT/ITES.
  • Certifications in relevant areas are an advantage.
