Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Business Development Manager - Upwork based in Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities on Upwork, managing client relationships, developing strategic plans to achieve sales targets, and collaborating with various teams to ensure customer satisfaction. The role involves constant interaction with potential clients, preparing proposals, and negotiating contracts to drive the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities


Lead Generation & Prospecting:


Identify potential clients using Upwork.


Build and manage verified lead databases across the target geographies (US, Europe, Canada, Australia, UAE).


Initiate first contact via LinkedIn outreach, cold emails, and cold calls.


Lead Nurturing & Conversion:


Engage with prospects to understand business needs, challenges, and technology requirements.


Pitch relevant IT services such as web development, mobile apps, AI/ML, blockchain, and digital transformation solutions.


Prepare proposals, quotations, and functional requirement documents (FRDs) in coordination with the technical team.


Conduct client calls, demos, and negotiations until project sign-off.


Pipeline & Reporting:


Maintain a healthy lead pipeline and track all activities in the CRM.


Meet or exceed monthly revenue targets.


Report weekly on progress, challenges, and conversion metrics.


Strategy & Independence:


Research and identify new lead generation methods and outreach strategies.


Continuously refine email templates, LinkedIn scripts, and calling approaches for better conversions.


  • Stay updated on IT trends, competitors, and global market opportunities.
