Business Development Manager

The position of EPR Business Development Manager requires a candidate with a minimum of 3 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in EPR, sustainability, or waste management sectors. This is a full-time role that involves leading business development efforts within the EPR (Extended Producer Responsibility) vertical in India. As the Business Development Manager, your primary responsibilities will include acquiring new clients, managing relationships with brands, and overseeing the end-to-end execution of EPR projects in collaboration with internal teams. Your key responsibilities will involve identifying and onboarding PIBOs (Producers, Importers, and Brand Owners) as clients for EPR obligations under the Plastic Waste Management Rules. You will need to develop and implement business development strategies to meet monthly and quarterly targets, customize EPR solutions based on client-specific requirements, and maintain strong relationships with various stakeholders to ensure project success. Collaboration with operations, supply chain, and compliance teams will be essential to ensure timely project delivery and documentation. To excel in this role, you must possess strong communication and presentation skills, a proven track record in B2B sales with sustainability/EPR exposure, and an understanding of Plastic Waste Management Rules and regulatory processes. Proficiency in data analysis using Excel/Google Sheets, the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, and a willingness to travel when required are also crucial. Ideal candidates for this position will hold a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field. A Master's degree (MBA/PGDM) would be advantageous, along with prior experience in EPR, ESG consulting, or waste management.
