Primary Function: • Responsible to generate sales from Southern India and be accountable for the overall
performance of the assigned territory
• Responsible to establish and build sustainable relationships with Grainger customers and
reseller partners
• Accountable for business portfolio of $1.5-$2.5 million
Principal Duties &
Responsibilities:
• Plan and implement comprehensive sales plan that would contribute towards revenue
and profit achievements
• Research, analyze and assess the business needs of each assigned account to determine
how Grainger can best align itself as a partner for all current and future MRO needs
• Negotiate significant profitable opportunities both with new and existing key accounts.
• Drive lead generation and conversion efforts, leveraging your sales acumen to nurture
prospects and achieve successful sales outcomes.
• Problem Solving: Utilize Grainger Knowhow to address customer queries, provide
solutions, and troubleshoot challenges effectively for enhanced customer experience
• Collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver the right solutions to customers and
ensure seamless execution
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, sales progress, and relevant activities
in Salesforce, contributing to informed decision-making
Preferred
Education &
Experience:
• Education: Bachelor or Masters in business administration, Engineering or equivalent
• Sales Acumen: Minimum 7-8 years of proven experience in technical sales, including
lead generation, nurturing, and conversion. Ability to identify new business
opportunities, develop strategies, and close deals effectively
• Problem-Solving Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze and resolve complex technical
issues efficiently and provide effective solutions to meet customer needs
• Adaptability: Flexibility to handle diverse challenges and environments
• Team Collaboration: Effective collaboration with internal teams
• Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with industry trends
• Sales Experience in Aviation, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing, R&D accounts a plus
• Working Knowledge of MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook
• Demonstrated achievement in the following skill and competency areas:
• Convey essential information clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally
