Job Description: Business Development Manager – Middle East & North Africa (MENA region) for Cross Border Business Payments (FIAT and Crypto) Location: Remote/Hybrid (Middle East) Position Overview We are looking for an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Professional to lead our growth initiatives across Middle East & North Africa (Arabic region) in the cross-border business payments (Fiat and Crypto) industry. This role will focus on driving market expansion, forging strategic partnerships, and achieving revenue targets in these diverse and dynamic regions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the payments and crypto industry and be adept at navigating complex market environments. The key target markets for this person (in order of priority) are: KSA, Jordan, Arabic North African countries, Cyprus, Turkey, and once they open up again – Syria & Lebanon. Key Responsibilities Strategic Market Expansion Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for MENA region, aligning with organizational goals. Conduct market research to identify growth opportunities, emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics across the regions. Partnership Development Identify, negotiate, and establish partnerships with Banks, Exchange Houses, Fintechs, PSPs and other relevant financial institutions who are licensed to offer cross border payment services, for outbound business payments Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate seamless collaboration and mutual growth. Revenue Growth Drive revenue generation by acquiring new clients, expanding market share, and cross-selling products and services. Ensure the achievement of sales targets and performance objectives for each region. Qualifications Educational Background : Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA is a plus. Network & Industry Relationships: should possess excellent network & business relationships with ‘buying department / individuals’ (correspondent departments) of target clients in MENA region Experience: 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnership roles within the financial services, fintech, or cross-border payments sectors. Proven track record of successfully managing and expanding businesses in MENA region. Industry Knowledge : Strong understanding of the cross-border payments ecosystem, including trends, challenges, and key players in the target regions. Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements in MENA. Key Competencies: Has strong existing relationships with PSPs, Fintechs & Banks in MENA region, preferably in their correspondent network department Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities. Strategic thinker with a results-driven and entrepreneurial mindset. Cultural sensitivity and ability to adapt to diverse business environments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel extensively across the regions.
