Business Development Manager (Logistics)

As a Business Development Manager in the logistics business, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving revenue growth. You will work closely with the sales team and other departments to ensure the seamless delivery of logistics solutions to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Sales and Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through networking, cold calling, and other means.
• Client Relationship Management: Understand client needs and provide customized logistics solutions. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships.
• Handling Customer Queries: Handle client inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally.
• Client Retention: Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
• Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities in the logistics industry. Monitor competitor activities and market developments.
• Collaboration and Coordination: Work closely with operations, customer service, and other departments to ensure smooth service delivery. Coordinate with the finance department to ensure timely billing and payment collections.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Proven experience of a minimum of 5 years in sales, preferably in the logistics or transportation industry.
• Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain management.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Familiarity with international shipping and customs regulations.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data to make informed sales decisions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
