Role Overview

We're looking for a driven and proactive Business Development Manager (BDM) based in Mumbai to support Tradelab's business expansion across Western India.

The role focuses on prospecting, lead generation, and assisting in closing new business deals with discount brokers, full-service brokers, banks, and fintech platforms.

The ideal candidate should have a foundational understanding of capital markets/fintech and a strong desire to grow into a high-impact enterprise sales role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify and engage potential clients aligned with Tradelab's target segments (brokers, fintech platforms, banks).
  • Sales Pipeline Support: Qualify leads, schedule demos, participate in discussions, and assist in progressing opportunities.
  • Client Outreach: Conduct outreach via emails, calls, LinkedIn, industry events, and partner networks.
  • Product Demonstrations: Support product/solutions teams in presenting TradeLab's offerings to clients.
  • Proposal & Documentation Support: Prepare proposals, business decks, pitch materials, and commercial documents.
  • Market Understanding: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes (e.g., SEBI guidelines).
  • CRM Management: Maintain up-to-date records of leads, interactions, and pipeline status using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot/Salesforce).
  • Event Representation: Represent TradeLab at industry meets, product demos, conferences, and networking events.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work with sales, product, and solutions teams to craft tailored value propositions.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Experience: 24 years in B2B sales, business development, or inside sales within fintech, capital markets, SaaS, trading, or investment platforms.
  • Industry Knowledge: Basic understanding of trading platforms, brokers, and the capital market ecosystem.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication with a confident client-facing presence.
  • Relationship Building: Proven ability to build and maintain rapport with key client stakeholders.
  • Target Orientation: Comfortable working in a target-driven, fast-paced environment.
  • CRM Skills: Experience with CRM tools for lead tracking and pipeline management.
  • Attitude: Highly self-driven, responsible, and eager to learn and grow.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Exposure to trading systems (OMS, RMS) or API-based fintech platforms.
  • Familiarity with SEBI regulations and algo trading basics.
  • Experience supporting enterprise sales or solution-selling environments.
