Job Title: Business Development Manager

Location: Bengaluru

Experience: 7-8 years

Reports to: Partner CFO & Financial Consulting

Direct Reports: 2 Business Development Executives

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager with 7-8 years of experience to lead our business development efforts. This is a key position responsible for the entire end-to-end business development lifecycle, from strategy to execution. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of creating and nurturing a robust sales pipeline, generating qualified leads, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage and mentor a small team while directly contributing to the company's growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategy and Leadership:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve revenue targets and expand market share.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of two reportees, ensuring they meet their individual and team KPIs.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry landscapes to identify new business opportunities.
  • Define and refine the target audience and ideal customer profile (ICP).

2. End-to-End Business Development:

  • Inbound Marketing:

    • Collaborate with the leadership team to optimize lead generation channels (e.g., website, content marketing, SEO/SEM, social media).
    • Develop strategies to qualify and convert inbound leads into the sales pipeline.
  • Outbound Marketing & Sales:

    • Create and implement effective outbound campaigns (e.g., cold outreach, email marketing, LinkedIn prospecting).
    • Identify, contact, and qualify new prospects through various channels.
    • Conduct initial discovery calls and meetings to understand prospect needs and present our value proposition.
    • Ability to drive performance marketing
  • Sales Pipeline Management:

    • Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure.
    • Maintain a healthy and accurate sales pipeline using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
    • Forecast sales pipeline and revenue on a regular basis.

3. Partner & Forum Engagement:

  • Drive Events and Thought Leadership:

    • Plan, organize, and execute seminars and webinars to establish thought leadership and engage with potential clients and partners.
    • Build and nurture relationships with key partners and stakeholders.
  • Build & Utilize Connects:

    • Actively participate in and leverage various industry forums, associations, and events such as

      Ascent, CII, and FICCI

      , etc to build connections and identify new business opportunities.
  • Leadership Collaboration:

    • Share insights and collaborate with senior leadership to build new service offerings
    • Identify and follow through upsell opportunities.
  • Tech Enablement for Sales:

    • Identify, implement, and leverage sales technology tools to optimize the sales process, improve efficiency, and enhance team performance.

Key Deliverables:

  • Pipeline Creation:

    Consistently generate a high volume of qualified leads to build a robust sales pipeline.
  • SQL (Sales Qualified Leads):

    Deliver a target number of Sales Qualified Leads each quarter.
  • Revenue:

    Meet and exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • MBA in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 7-8 years of progressive experience in business development and sales with a focus on B2B preferably for a consulting company / business.
  • Proven experience in

    managing and leading a small team

  • Demonstrated track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and building a strong sales pipeline.
  • Strong understanding of inbound and outbound marketing and sales principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience with
