Business Development Intern

Kolkata (On-site)

Internship (3-6 months)

Up to ₹10,000/- per month

Excellent English proficiency (both written and verbal)


Overview

Opvia.in is looking for a motivated and proactive Business Development Intern to support our growth initiatives. This role involves assisting the sales and BD team in identifying leads, reaching out to potential clients, and contributing to business expansion strategies. The internship offers hands-on experience in client engagement, market research, and sales operations, providing a strong foundation for a career in business development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Research and

    identify potential clients, partners,

    and industry opportunities.
  • Assist in

    lead generation

    through LinkedIn, email campaigns, and other channels.
  • Maintain and update the

    CRM

    with accurate client and lead information.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals, and sales materials for client interactions.

  • Assist in

    analyzing market trends,

    competitor activities, and potential business opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and project handovers.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to suggest strategies for business growth.


Requirements

  • Recently completed a degree in

    Business, Marketing, or a related field.

  • 3-6 months of prior internship

    or work experience in sales, marketing, or business development preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Basic understanding of sales processes and lead generation techniques.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM tools is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with LinkedIn lead generation and outreach.
  • Interest in B2B sales, SaaS, or service-based industries.
  • Understanding of digital marketing and social media as business tools.
