As of June 2023, Roofsol Energy is ranked as the 2nd largest rooftop solar EPC player in the country by Bridge to India. The company has commissioned several significant projects, including a 10.201 MWp rooftop solar plant at Sportking India Ltd, making it India's third-largest single-site rooftop solar installation. Internationally, Roofsol Energy operates in Oman, the Philippines, and Bangladesh, with plans to expand into Indonesia, Kenya, and other African countries. With an integrated team of 80 professionals, the company offers comprehensive Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and After Sales Services, while working with various investors to provide flexible financing options.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Business Development Manager located in Guwahati. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with clients, and developing strategies to expand Roofsol Energy’s market presence. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market research, preparing sales proposals, negotiating contracts, and collaborating with the engineering and technical teams to ensure customer satisfaction. The role also involves analyzing market trends, attending industry events, and providing regular reports to senior management.

Qualifications

Proven experience in Business Development, Sales, and Market Research
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build and maintain client relationships
Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills
Project Management and Negotiation skills
Familiarity with the renewable energy sector, specifically solar energy, is a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
Experience in the solar industry and knowledge of financing models like PPA, EMI, and Leasing is beneficial
