VP / GM / National Head - Design - Solar PV Projects

Roofsol Energy is rapidly expanding Solar EPC company in India, having pan India presence with head office in Mumbai. It is currently ranked no. 2 in Solar Rooftop Behind the Meter Segment. In the current financial year, it is expected to carry out 400 MWp of Solar Projects across ground mount utility scale, rooftop, behind the meter and residential projects. The company has also started operations in Solar parks and OPEX PPA projects with its own investments and also has international offices in San Francisco and Dhaka. The company plans to get IPO by beginning of next financial year.

• Vice President / General Manager / National Head - Design & Engg, Management Team member with shareholding in the company.
• Solar Design engineer - Bachelor of Electrical Engineering, Minimum 14-25 years of experience, should be proficient in Autocad, Sketchup and PV syst. Masters degree will be a plus.
• Manage team of around 25 Design Engineers consisting of electrical, mechanical and civil designers to meet the deliverables target of the projects for Rooftop and ground mounted Utility scale projects.
• This position is in Mumbai Head Office, shall report directly to the CEO.

The candidates should be able to -

• Review design, layout & drawings, capacity, shadow analysis. Optimise layout and plant capacity. Site analysis, site feasibility reports, preparation of primary BOM, evaluation of BOM as per customer requirement.
• Design of electrical SLD & plant layout & drawings, detailed equipment specification using AutoCAD. Preparing BOM/BOQ, SLD & Electrical design. Design independently (SLD, Array layout, GA Drawing, inverter fabrication, canopy design and allied drawings for sharing placements and methodology of installation)
• Shall have experience in Utility Scale Ground mounted and Rooftop projects.
• Coordination with contractors with project execution time for any design related queries.
• Configuration and sizing of Solar PV plant
• Design PV Monitoring system. Energy generation report using PV Syst software from generation guarantee perspective.
• Work closely with BD Teams, Project teams and ensure deadlines are met. Resolve issues with root cause analysis. Working with marketing team for submitting offers.
• Should have design experience in AC, DC, LT & HT side.
• Engineering calculations, sizing of solar power plant, power cables and selection of technology system based on customer requirement.
• Working as per the design Codes & standard, and other governing standards for design of solar PV systems.
• Review of technical specification of tenders.
• Occasional international travel will be required.
