Business Development Executive

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities on Upwork, Freelancer, Guru, and similar platforms.
• Write effective proposals, customize cover letters, and respond to client queries professionally.
• Understand client requirements and present relevant company services and solutions.
• Manage bidding activity and ensure timely submissions to win potential projects.
• Maintain and optimize Upwork and other freelancing profiles to enhance visibility and win rate.
• Collaborate with technical teams to prepare project scopes, cost estimates, and timelines.
• Build long-term relationships with new and existing clients through regular communication and excellent service.
• Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets in alignment with the business strategy.
• Track sales activities, prepare reports, and share insights with management.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• 6 months to 2 years of experience in business development or sales for IT services, with hands-on experience in Upwork bidding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to understand technical concepts and translate them into client-friendly language.
• Strong negotiation, presentation, and client engagement skills.
• Familiarity with CRM tools, proposal writing, and online communication platforms (Zoom, Slack, etc.).

Preferred Skills:

• Prior experience in selling services like web development, mobile apps, UI/UX, software solutions, or digital marketing.
• Understanding of the freelance economy and best practices for winning projects online.
• Experience with lead generation tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, or similar.
