Job Description

Business Development Executive (BDE)


Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Generation & Sales

  • Identify potential customers through field visits, networking, referrals, and digital lead channels.
  • Conduct cold calls, follow up on inquiries, and schedule site visits.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable solar solutions (kW capacity, panel types, inverters, financing options).

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with residential and commercial clients.
  • Provide clear explanations on solar benefits, ROI, subsidies, net-metering, and government policies.
  • Coordinate with technical teams for feasibility assessments and project execution.

3. Market & Competitor Analysis

  • Monitor local market trends, competitor pricing, and new solar technologies.
  • Prepare periodic reports on sales performance, forecasts, and potential business opportunities.

4. Proposal & Documentation

  • Prepare quotations, proposals, and project cost estimations.
  • Assist customers with loan/financing applications if required.
  • Ensure all documentation for installation, net-metering, and approvals is completed accurately.

5. Revenue Growth & Targets

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for solar rooftop and ground-mounted systems.
  • Participate in marketing campaigns, exhibitions, and awareness drives.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in sales; solar or renewable energy sales experience is an advantage.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to understand basic technical aspects of solar installation.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Excel, and digital lead management.
  • Self-motivated and target-focused with a field sales mindset.

Working Conditions

  • Field-based role (travel required).
  • Work hours: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM (flexible depending on client meetings).
