Job Title: Business Development Engineer – Automatic Vehicle Cleaning & SPM Systems (Railway Sector)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and technically sound Business Development Engineer with an engineering background in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, Robotics, or Electrical Engineering. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying opportunities and developing business strategies for Automatic Vehicle Washing Systems and Special Purpose Machines (SPMs), especially targeted at the Railway sector and transportation industries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify and explore new business opportunities in the railway sector, automobile workshops, and transportation hubs for automated vehicle cleaning systems and custom SPMs.
• Engage with government bodies (like Indian Railways), PSU clients, and private players to pitch tailored automation solutions.
• Understand customer technical needs and present appropriate solutions in collaboration with the design and engineering teams.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations, project proposals, and tender documentation.
• Conduct site visits, technical demonstrations, and coordinate Proof-of-Concept (POC) trials.
• Collaborate with the R&D, production, and service teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Maintain strong customer relationships to ensure repeat business and referrals.
• Stay updated with industry trends, competitor offerings, and technology advancements in automation and robotics.
• Participate in relevant exhibitions, conferences, and trade shows.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Mechatronics / Automation / Robotics / Electrical Engineering.
• 3–7 years of experience in industrial automation / SPM / capital equipment / railway or automotive sector sales (freshers with strong technical and communication skills may also apply).
• Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and sell engineering-based products and customized machinery.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team across multiple departments.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and on-site demonstrations.
Preferred:
• Prior experience working with railway tenders, government procurement processes, or SPM automation.
• Knowledge of CAD tools, automation systems, PLCs, or mechanical design principles.
• Familiarity with railway standards, RDSO, or IR specifications (desirable but not mandatory).
