About the Role

Business Continuity Manager

The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, analytical, and crisis management skills, as well as experience implementing business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) programs in complex, regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s

    Business Continuity Management (BCM)

    framework and policies.
  • Conduct

    Business Impact Analyses (BIA)

    and

    Risk Assessments

    to identify critical functions and potential vulnerabilities.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of

    Business Continuity Plans (BCP)

    and

    Disaster Recovery (DR)

    strategies.
  • Coordinate simulation exercises, crisis response drills, and employee awareness programs.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards (e.g.,

    ISO 22301

    ) and Swiss regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with IT, Operations, HR, and Compliance teams to integrate continuity planning across departments.
  • Monitor third-party and supplier resilience as part of operational risk management.
  • Support incident management during disruptions and coordinate recovery efforts.
  • Prepare regular reports and present continuity readiness updates to senior management and regulators.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve business continuity strategies in response to emerging threats and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, IT, or related field.
  • 5–8 years of experience in

    Business Continuity Management

    ,

    Operational Risk

    , or

    Crisis Management

    .
  • In-depth knowledge of

    ISO 22301

    , BCM lifecycle principles, and regulatory compliance in Switzerland or the EU.
  • Experience with business continuity tools, risk management systems, and data recovery planning.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and lead during crisis situations.
  • Professional certifications such as

    CBCP, MBCI, ISO 22301 Lead Implementer, or PMP

    are highly desirable.
  • Fluent in

    English

    ;

    German and/or French

    is an advantage.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
