Job Description

Role: Business Analyst – Travel Technology Systems Skills: Travel Domain, XML, JSON, GDS Location: Bengaluru, Noida Experience: 6-10 years Mode: Work from office Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Business Analyst to support the development and optimization of travel-related systems, including mid-office platforms .The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring alignment on requirements, solutions, and delivery for travel technology initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for travel systems. Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process reviews to elicit needs. Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure mutual understanding. Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories and technical specifications. Documentation & Process Design: Develop detailed user stories, use cases, process flows, and requirement specifications. Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments for changes in workflows or integrations. Solution Delivery: Participate in solution design, testing strategy, UAT, and product rollout. Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to prioritize backlog items. Data Analysis & Insights: Analyze travel data and KPIs to identify trends and recommend improvements. Support operational efficiency and product enhancements through data-driven insights. Integration & Standards: Work with GDS (e.g., Sabre, Amadeus, Travelport), OTA systems, and third-party APIs. Ensure compliance with IATA standards, NDC, ONE Order, and airline fare rules. Required Skills & Experience: Strong knowledge of airline reservation systems, GDS platforms, and back-office files (IUR/AIR/MIR). Familiarity with PNR structure, fare construction, e-ticketing, and refund/exchange flows. Experience working with APIs, XML/JSON formats, and travel booking systems. Proficiency with tools like JIRA , Confluence , MS Visio , or similar. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Agile/Scrum certification (e.g., CSM , CSPO , or PMI-ACP ). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with mid-office systems like GMAX . Background in travel technology or airline operations. Understanding of travel industry standards and evolving technologies.
