Business Analyst

Hi All,

We have an opening for the role of Business Analyst for one of our leading Investment Banking client in Mumbai.

Experience : 1-2 years

Responsibilities

• Understanding data sources, composition, rules of reporting required by different applications and ensuring data completeness & accuracy.
• Creating a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions for a business.
• Reconciling data sets & trace data evolution through transformation processes.
• The role involves supporting/ understanding root cause analysis on CHANGE the BANK and RUN the BANK issues.
• Preparing functional specifications, proof of concepts, test cases for reports and enhancements in the General Ledger platforms, Finance systems and Risk System.
• Liaise between Operations and IT to assist or gather business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancement and implementations.

Contributing Responsibilities

• Ability to source, transform and analyze large data sets.
• Perform reconciliations and data analysis.
• Ability to identify issues & manage short term and permanent fixes

Business Analytical skills

• Eliciting user requirements and transforming them to functional specifications/Change requirements.
• Preparing business test cases.
• Liaising with development team on the production queries & enhancements.
• Experience with software development life cycle & implementation
• Basic understanding on Accounting and Finance concepts and awareness of Credit Risk, IFRS reporting concepts, Finance head-office reporting processes will be value add.

Technical Skills

• Ability to work with large data sets in MS Excel and corresponding tools and formulae like pivots, lookups etc.

Behavioral Competencies

• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Assertiveness & Proactiveness skills are important.
• Discipline in documenting, following-up on issues and changes.
