Job Description

Role Overview: As the Switchgear & Wiring Accessories Branch Manager at Orient Electric, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's Sales & Marketing strategy to meet overall business objectives. Your responsibility will be to establish Orient as the leading brand in the category within the defined State. To excel in this role, you should bring a dynamic and energetic approach, along with 8+ years of relevant experience in Switchgear, Switches, Wiring Accessories & Wire domains. Your tasks will include conducting regular inventory management, setting revenue objectives for the state, leading a team, coordinating retail activities, and promoting the brand in the retail market. Key Responsibilities: - Develop productive relationships with team members, dealers/distributors, and implement win/win business plans. - Act as a liaison between the company and its current team, market, and potential future markets. - Handle team management responsibilities efficiently. - Expand the retail sales network by achieving retailer expansion targets through the appointment of new retailers/dealers and distributors. - Conduct market mapping and track competitor information such as pricing, schemes, and product launches. - Ensure proper product displays and merchandise display in retail outlets. - Achieve area business targets in terms of primary and secondary sales, as well as collections. - Implement promotional schemes, execute below-the-line (BTL) activities, and support marketing initiatives. - Monitor stock movement and status, and conduct product trainings for electricians, channel sales staff, and business influencers. - Generate leads through site visits and drive tertiary sales from stores. - Maintain compliance with Orient Electric trade policies. - Encourage channel partners to adopt digital initiatives to enhance business productivity. - Submit monthly Sales MIS and channel claims, and settle defective products with channel partners. Qualification Required: - Retail experience with domain knowledge. - 8+ years of relevant experience in Switchgear, Switches, Wiring Accessories & Wire domains. - Strong leadership and team management skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. - Sound understanding of retail market dynamics and promotional activities.
