Job Description – Billing Executive (Tally ERP)

Position: Billing Executive

Reporting To: Business Development Head

Job Summary:

The Billing Executive is responsible for preparing and managing customer invoices using Tally ERP. The role ensures accurate billing, proper documentation, timely payments, and coordination with sales, dispatch, and accounts departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create sales invoices, delivery challans, and credit notes in Tally ERP.
• Maintain and update customer ledger and ensure correct posting of entries.
• Check purchase orders (PO), rate approvals, and dispatch documents before billing.
• Prepare GST invoices and verify HSN/SAC codes, tax rates, and terms.
• Coordinate with production/warehouse for material dispatch status.
• Follow up for outstanding payments with customers (if required).
• Maintain billing records, invoice copies, and proper filing.
• Reconcile customer accounts and report discrepancies.
• Generate daily/weekly/monthly billing reports.
• Assist in stock entry, delivery tracking, and basic accounting tasks.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.

Required Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience in Tally ERP .
• Good knowledge of billing, and accounting basics.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• MS Excel proficiency (basic formulas, reports).
• Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.

Qualification & Experience:

• Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / Any Commerce Degree
• Experience: 3–5 years in Billing / Accounts (Tally)
