The Key Purpose
of this role is to generate sales orders, drive volume growth, and strengthen brand presence within an assigned territory by ensuring high standards of in-outlet execution, product availability, customer satisfaction, and sustained channel growth.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Planning & Volume Delivery
- Drive performance to exceed sales quotas within the assigned territory in line with national and regional growth objectives.
- Prepare and execute territory action plans aligned to agreed volume and order targets.
- Identify sales prospects, generate new leads, and follow up on referrals resulting from field activity.
- Develop new and incremental contract business within the channel.
- Persuade customers to stock and range company products.
- Coordinate shipping schedules and delivery of products to customers.
Availability & Execution
- Ensure company products and brands are widely available across the assigned sales area.
- Maintain execution standards in line with company sales and merchandising requirements.
Promotion & Activation
- Support the preparation, issuance, and delivery of sales materials and promotional programmes.
- Prepare for and attend exhibitions, regional, and national promotional activities as required.
Sales Standards & Competitive Intelligence
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of company and competitor products.
- Leverage competitive and marketplace information to support order closing and customer conversion.
Customer Satisfaction & Relationship Management
- Establish strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
- Monitor customer feedback on new products and relay insights to management.
- Ensure loyalty and retention of existing customers.
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, guarantees, and after-sales service with customers.
Price Monitoring & Negotiation
- Position products effectively in outlets, communicate customer benefits, confirm pricing, handle objections, and close sales.
- Monitor pricing compliance at retail outlets in line with company guidelines.
Reporting & Administration
- Prepare and submit regular status reports including activity, follow-ups, closures, and adherence to targets.
- Maintain accurate sales records and activity updates to support forecasting and performance tracking.
Self-Development
- Identify personal training and development needs and engage with line management to address skill gaps.
Decision Making
- Align territory plans to national sales plans.
- Ensure territories are appropriately resourced to meet sales objectives.

Minimum Requirements:
Education
- University degree in Sales, Marketing, Administration, or equivalent qualification.
- HND (Marketing) or CIM (Certificate, Diploma, or Advanced).
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years’ practical experience in a similar sales or business development role.
- Strong product knowledge and sales execution experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
