Role Overview: As a Business Development Manager at Dr. Reddys Laboratories Ltd., you will be responsible for identifying and securing business building opportunities across the portfolio and value stream. Your role will involve handling licensing and alliance opportunities, driving business growth through strategic partnerships, developing and evaluating business cases, ensuring governance and profitability tracking, and leading project execution from planning to launch while effectively mitigating risks. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct market research, attend conferences, and monitor competitor portfolios and proposals to identify opportunities. - Expand the funnel of opportunities across the value stream and portfolio working independently as well as with other sales teams. - Convert opportunities to revenue across the value stream and portfolio using existing set processes. - Identify and secure candidates for licensing and alliances to address portfolio gaps and launch line extensions for existing brands. - Coordinate with experts to evaluate products under consideration for acquisition, licensing, distribution, localization, or other collaborations. - Prepare comprehensive business cases for potential projects and align them with internal stakeholders. - Contribute to the finalization of term sheets and agreements, ensuring commercial viability. - Lead strategic projects, including planning, resource allocation, progress tracking, and maintaining documentation. - Monitor deal profitability and raise timely alarms to renegotiate key commercial terms with partners as needed. - Proactively identify risks in projects and implement appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes. Qualification Required: - Educational Qualification: Post Graduation in pharmacy/MBA preferred. Graduation in Science preferred. - Minimum Work Experience: 5+ years / 7+ years experience within the pharma industry.
